Troop 127 held its Bushwhack hike at John Bryan State Park. 17 scouts and scouters attended this event. Pictures taken at this event can be found Here in the troop photo gallery. We started at the parking lot near Clifton Mills and hiked the south side of the gorge first proceeded to the picnic area. The troop carried backpacking meals for lunch that will probably be taken on Mischa Mokwa hike in October. The meals eaten on this hike included the following…Rainier Rice served as burritos with cheese, San Juan Stroganoff, and Southwest Chili. After the fine cuisine and a desert of double stuff OREO cookies we continued the hike and arrived back at the parking lot around 2:30pm. After the hike we stopped by Young’s Golden Jersey Inn for dinner and believe it or not ice cream… Scoutmaster Dale would like to thank all the youth that attended for the their great attitude all day it makes easy to understand why so many adults volunteer to help with scout groups all over the Miami Valley. Mr. Dale would also like to thank the adults that made this event such a success.
