Where Do I Find My BSA ID Number Needed for creating a MYSCOUTING account and completing online training Background: The National BSA office has developed a way to track your scouting experience and training through their web site (http://www.scouting.org) called "MYSCOUTING". When you first link to "MYSCOUTING" from the national site, you are prompted to register and build an account based on your BSA ID number. The question has since risen "Where do I find out my BSA ID number?" There are three (3) basic ways of finding your BSA ID number for registering for with "MYSCOUTING": (1) Look on the BSA ID card you received when your unit re-registered. The number appears on the bottom of the card. This is the easiest way to find the number and get started. (2) Look on the label of your Scouting magazine. This magazine is personalized for you depending on whether you are a Cub Scout Leader, Boy Scout Leader, or Venturing Leader, and also by your registered position. This label is printed on the magazine, not glued on, and is the easiest way for the BSA to keep track of you is with your ID number which is printed on the second line of the label. Here are two examples of what you might see (we have highlighted where your ID number to emphasize its location). All BSA ID numbers is our Council should be either a 7-digit number beginning with a "36" or "37" or a 9-digit number beginning with a "1". Example 1 3BXBFCFX ****************** CAR-RT LOT**C-008 #0000036234560#444S 0248SMAR0805 07 1149 Example 2 3BXBFCFX ****************** CAR-RT LOT**C-008 #0000123456789#444S 0248SMAR0805 07 1149 (3) The last option would be to contact the registrar at the Scout Office (937-278-4825). Please note that during the heavy rechartering season (February through April), the registrar is very busy and may not be to give an immediate reply. They will get back to you as soon as possible.
